Crayon Pop “Bar Bar Bar”

Rookie group Crayon Pop is on its way to the top of music charts with its latest addictive track, “Bar Bar Bar”.
Crayon Pop’s new single “Bar Bar Bar” was released in June, but since then it has steadily risen on most music charts. The song, which initially ranked outside of the top 100 songs, is now ranking at #12 daily and at #25 on weekly charts, and even topped Melon’s daily MV chart.
A representative stated, It’s very rare to see a song climbs up the charts because it is normally pushed out of the rankings as time passes. Considering Crayon Pop is a rookie group, such a performance is quite remarkable.”
The Divine Five’s latest masterpiece, “Bar Bar Bar,” is currently growing at an unstoppable rate, and is well on its way to becoming the biggest K-pop sleeper hit of 2013.
I’m gonna break it all down for y’all. At the start of the month, “Bar Bar Bar” became the group’sfirst top 100 entry on the Gaon chart. Last week, it had jumped to No. 54, and by the time the new Gaon chart is released this Thursday, it’ll be even higher. The song has been consistently rising on the Melon real-time chart for over a week now, and currently sits at No. 13. It’s also No. 17 on the instiz iChart, indicating its high placement on various digital charts across Korea.
A lot of the success of “Bar Bar Bar” is through viral exposure, with the story version, dance version, and practice version of the music video pulling in over 1.8 million Youtube views (and counting) from the group’s official channel. It’s also topped Melon’s MV chart, while The Pope’sMusic Core comeback stage has amassed close to 500,000 Youtube views.
The Korean media is now publishing articles about The Divine Five’s skyrocketing popularity, and the success of “Bar Bar Bar” is getting the group some big promo opportunities. They recently performed at a pool party event with 4minute, and also landed a performance slot onSketchbook.
Me and my fellow Slayon Pope devotees all knew that one day the Crayolegends would release the next “Tell Me” or “Gee” to become the nation’s new girl group, but now that it’s happening it feels so surreal. I don’t know if I’m ready for this. At the rate they’re growing, it’ll be like Spicemania all over again. Slayon’s debut album will likely outsell Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and by the end of the year they’ll be placed alongside the likes of Elvis and Madonna as one of the greatest and most influential artists of all time.
